NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL REGISTRATION

Working as a nurse in the UK requires registration with the NMC; It safeguards both you and the patients you treat.

You would need to do the following in order to register with the NMC:

  • Show that you have a recognized nursing credential.
  • Demonstrate that you have the correct level of English
  • Pass the Computer Based Test (CBT) to test your knowledge of nursing
  • Last but not least, you must pass the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), a practical exam that must be taken no later than 12 weeks after you start working as a pre-registered nurse in the UK.
