How to Apply as an Undergraduate Students
The listed documents below gives the steps needed for applying as an undergraduate students
- Getting a student number
Start at step 2 if you already have a student number.
- Go to the online application platform
- Click on New application
- Click on Create new student number and complete all the fields.
Please note that the allocation of a student number does not mean that you have completed the application process. Please go through all the steps to ensure that your application is complete and submit it so that it reaches us. Incomplete applications will not be processed by the University.
- Log in
When you receive a student number, use that together with the PIN number you created to log in. Keep your student number and PIN safe. You’ll need it in the future.
- What do you want to study?
Complete all the fields. Use the yearbooks to obtain more information about the qualifications, modes of delivery and curricula. Explore careers based on your interests with the Interest-Index.
- Upload supporting documents
Please submit the following supporting documents in order for us to evaluate your application. The University reserves the right to reject any application that is incomplete:
- You must also submit a copy of your matric diploma if you have already completed grade 12 or grade 11 (final results only).
- Applicants who are currently working on improving their grade 12 results will be considered only after the NWU receives the improved results.
- A certificate of exemption from the USAF is required for applicants who pursue the Cambridge, GED, or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may be exempt due to older age or post-school credentials.
- Completed undertaking
- a copy of your ID a copy of your transcript (if applicable).
- Additional paperwork for prospective international students:
- A copy of relevant results
- A copy of your passport
- More information on payable fees
- Submit Application
