Approved recipients can change or update their banking information by going to the Sassa SRD website. Sassa reminds beneficiaries that their new banking information will be used for future payments only after they have been verified.

How to Update Your Banking Information for the SRD Grant:

• Click here to visit the SRD website.
• Scroll to “How do I change my banking details”.
• Enter your ID Number.
• An SMS with a secure link unique to you will be sent to the mobile phone number you provided during the application.
• Click on the link in the SMS.
• Follow the instructions carefully.

Beneficiaries must only provide their own banking information because Sassa does not pay grants into other people’s bank accounts. This helps prevent fraud and ensures that the grant payment is made to the right recipient.

The mobile phone number on which they received the SMS must be registered in their name if they choose the money transfer option through a major bank. This is so that Sassa can’t send their grant payment to a mobile phone number that belongs to someone else.
