The South African Social Security Administration (SASSA) was established in 2005 as part of the Social Development Authority to distribute social benefits to South Africans. Its main purpose is to provide social security services specifically to eligible beneficiaries. SASSA aims to achieve this while promoting a culture of respect for human rights and aspects of honesty, fairness, confidentiality, transparency, and customer care.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet all of the following minimum application requirements: Failure to meet all requirements will result in disqualification of the entry.

Internship in Scholarship Management:
Must have a diploma/bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work, social sciences, or public management
Internship in legal services:
Must have an LLB/LL.B.
Internship Risk Compliance:
Must have a degree/bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Criminology, Data Analysis, Forensic Investigations, Internal Audit, or Risk Management

Selection for appointment takes place after the mandatory screening, and candidates undergo mandatory reference and criminal background checks, as well as ITC and competence assessments.
– Priority is given to previously disadvantaged candidates
– It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all foreign applications meet her SAQA criteria and requirements prior to filing
– SASSA has no obligation to fill the position
– All her SASSA employees must receive mandatory security clearance at the time of appointment.
