Grants and allowances for groups in South African society in need are managed by the South African Social Security Agency. This includes grants for children, seniors, and people with disabilities. The R350 grant for the special relief of distress during the Covid-19 crisis is also managed by SASSA.

• There are several ways to receive SASSA payments. They may be paid for using CashSend, your SASSA card, your bank account, or a post office. You can get help with your basic needs from your SASSA grant. To learn more about how SASSA SRD payments operate, click here.
• Due to the SASSA R350 grant, a large number of SRD SASSA applications were flooding into srd.sassa.gov.za. The website serves several functions. You can not only complete your SASSA R350 application there, but you can also check your SASSA SRD status. This is also the SASSA website for updating banking information and other information.
