University of Pretoria Online Application 2024-2025

The online application system is designed for new prospective students applying to UP for the first time. It is not meant for students currently enrolled at the University of Pretoria.

To utilize the online application system, applicants need the following:

  • Access to the internet.
  • A dependable email address, as a confirmation with a student ID (EMPLID) will be sent to it after submitting the online application.

UP Information about online applications

  • With UPOnline’s unique program structure, you can enroll six times a year and apply at any time.
  • Make an inquiry about something.
  • Once you have submitted an initial inquiry and the UPOnline Call Centre has determined that you are an eligible student, you will hear from the University. In this message, you will find a link that will allow you to quickly and easily access the University of Pretoria’s online study application system. This URL provides a one-time-use unique token for your online study application. Copy this link and paste it into your browser’s address bar. The URL will take you to the landing page of the University of Pretoria’s online study application system.
  • You must only submit one online application for the program for which you wish to apply.
  • Remember that there are four stages to complete, and they must be completed precisely in order for the application to launch properly.
  • When your online application is processed, you will be assigned a student number (EMPLID).
  • The receipt of an EMPLIID student number does not imply acceptance to the University of Pretoria. After being evaluated by the relevant faculty, your application moves on to the admissions process.
  • It is preferable if you complete your own online application. It is critical that you provide your postal and email addresses to the University of Pretoria so that they can contact you directly.

Only after you have completed the following steps will you be able to submit your online application.

  • completed the online application for studies.
  • All the backup papers were uploaded in PDF format.
  • the application cost was paid.
  • clicked “APPLY” after confirming the application.
  • Your form has not been sent if you have not hit “APPLY.”

When your application has been submitted successfully:

  • Your application will no longer be editable.
  • Your assigned student number (EMPLID) will be emailed to you.
  • You will find important instructions on how to check your development and application outcomes on the student portal.
