This page provides additional information about the online registration process for UWC in the academic year 2024–2025.

REGISTRATION ONLINE BEGINS:

  • For Ph.D. and Master’s degrees awarded between January and February 2024, please click here to download the Postgraduate Student Guide.

Through the UWC Student Portal at STUDENT.UWC.AC.ZA, you can register online.

Throughout the registration process, applicants and students are required to use the student portal on a number of occasions. Your login information is as follows:

  • Identification number for students
  • The number on a passport or SA ID

The registration dates listed below must be observed by applicants because no late registrations will be accepted without prior permission, which must be requested and obtained from the relevant Faculty.

  • Only on the dates listed below will assist registration and curriculum advising be available on campus from 9:00 to 15:00 for the faculties and programs listed below:
  • Arts and Humanities Faculty – January to February 2023 (New and Returning undergraduate students)
  • Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences – Sports Stadium – January to February 2024 (BCOM and ECP students only) – Feb 2024 – CAMS Building
  • Faculty of Education (New undergraduate and PGCE students only)

The following resources have been made available to REGISTERED STUDENTS (only) to assist with online learning and teaching:

  • With the help of a virtual private network or VPN, a computer outside of the university’s trusted network can safely access resources that are frequently only available on campus. Students won’t be charged for data usage when using VPN services.
  • For UWC students, there are no data fees and the VPN service is completely free (iamuwc.uwc.ac.za).
  • Laptops are available to enrolled students from the university. To confirm that you want a laptop and agree to have the cost charged to your student account, CLICK HERE.
  • Students will receive data according to their needs. Students are advised to use the VPN service if their data expires or doesn’t load right away if they are enrolled. To access the data request form, kindly CLICK HERE.
  • To access the VPN, students need a data connection from Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, or Telkom. Once your registration is complete, you will have access to these services.
