Child Support Grant

• The child and you both need to live in South Africa.
• The individual or children must have been born after December 31, 1993.
• The means test needs to be passed by both you and your spouse.

Disability Grant

  You must be a South African citizen.

  You must be over sixty years old.
  You cannot receive additional social grants.
  The means test must be followed by both you and your spouse.
  In a state institution, you may not be cared for or maintained.
  A 13-digit barcoded identity document must be submitted.

Social Relief of Distress Grant

• The applicant submits their application within three months of the deceased breadwinner’s death.
• There is no evidence that a parent, child, or spouse is legally obligated to pay maintenance, and efforts to obtain maintenance have been unsuccessful.
• The provider of that individual’s family has been owned up to an establishment financed by the state (jail, mental clinic, state home for more seasoned people, treatment place for substance misuse or kid and youth care focus).
• As defined by the Disaster Management Act or the Fund Raising Act of 1978, you have been affected by a disaster.
• There is no other organization that is assisting you.
