Sassa has stated that applicants for SRD grants whose reconsideration applications were approved will be compensated accordingly.

It has been reported that the procedure has ended, and those who qualify will begin receiving payments in the middle of June 2022. From that point forward, monthly installments will be made.

It is recommended that beneficiaries keep an eye out for a notification from the bank. The Agency explained in a statement:

Do not go to the Post Office for the collection of your SRD grant. Use any approved retail outlet namely Pick ‘n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer, or USave.

This comes after it was reported that Sassa was having problems making payments for social grants at some of its cash-out locations. However, the Agency has devised a strategy that utilizes selected retail establishments as an interim strategy.

Paseka Letsatsi, a spokesperson for Sassa, claims that recipients who make use of their social grant cards can access their funds at any other bank of their choice.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to confirm their bank information because outstanding payments from the previous cycle will be cleared. Sassa has made it clear that multiple payments will be made each month until the backlog is resolved.

Monthly payments will resume as usual once the Agency completes this procedure. It is recommended that beneficiaries check their bank notifications for payments.
