The goal of the College of Nursing at Xavier University is to train professional nurses who can meet the changing, highly technical health care needs of a wide range of populations. With an educational foundation based on Jesuit values, graduates are prepared to practice nursing today and become leaders in the delivery of holistic healthcare in the future.

Undergraduate Nursing
- The American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC) has endorsed Xavier University’s College of Nursing’s highly competitive Direct Admission undergraduate BSN program in nursing. Students who complete this program are trained to become professional nurses who are capable of meeting the healthcare requirements of a wide range of populations and of adapting to a highly technical and ever-evolving healthcare environment. Our approach to nursing is comprehensive, ethical, and based on the same principles that define the nursing profession and Jesuit institutions. Our graduates leave Xavier with the ability to take the AHNCC certification exam as well as the NCLEX exam for registered nurses. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) grants accreditation to the nursing programs at Xavier.
Accelerated BSN Program
- By utilizing your non-nursing bachelor’s degree as a foundation, our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program makes it possible to complete the BSN in just 16 months. Our ABSN program is the only one in Ohio with four full semesters, three start dates per year, and three locations (Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland).
