• Thekwini TVET College strives to achieve its goal of skills development as a public technical and vocational education and training institution by providing excellent teaching and learning experiences and effective corporate governance. Our operational goals are in line with DHET’s strategic objectives, and our vision, mission, and values serve as our compass.
  Thekwini TVET College submits its five-year strategic plan to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology for approval in accordance with the provisions of Section 10(2)(a) of the Continuing Education and Training Act, No. 16 of 2006 as amended. The strategic plan was created with guidance from the National Development Plan (NDP), its implementation plan, the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) Plan, and all other pertinent documents.
• Thekwini TVET College works to promote the achievement of the following two sub-goals, among other strategic outcomes and national targets, according to the Department’s strategic documents: A sub-outcome of outcome 2 is increased access to and success in programs leading to intermediate and high-level learning, while a sub-outcome of outcome 4 is increased availability of intermediate-level skills with a focus on artisan skills and entrepreneurship.

The deadline for submitting CENTEC applications is November 2024.

Documents Required to Submit an Application

The following is required:

• GET Certificate, ABET Level 4 Certificate, Grade 9 or higher, N1, a certified copy of the most recent school report or results statement a review of prior education (RPL) to meet access requirements
  three certified copies of the student’s identification
  three official copies of the parent’s or guardian’s identification
• one ID picture
• Applicants must pass a placement exam prior to submitting an application to their preferred program. Students who want to take the placement test must schedule an appointment in advance each September.
