Application Fee for Coastal College:

The application fee for the NCV course is established at R2000 for the courses provided at Coastal KZN TVET College. Consequently, students are required to make a payment of an R2000 registration deposit. The overall fees, however, vary and fall within the range of R8000 to R21000.

Tuition fees are the responsibility of each student. Students who do not qualify for financial aid (NSFAS) must pay an R2 000 deposit on the date of registration, followed by installments to be completed before the final examination. All students who have not paid in full must fill out and sign a debt acknowledgment form.

NATED (REPORT 191) COURSE FEES

Tuition fees are the responsibility of each student. Students enrolled in engineering studies who do not qualify for financial aid (NSFAS) must pay the full course/tuition fee on the first day of class. Non-NSFAS bursary students must pay the full course/tuition fee; otherwise, pay a minimum of 50% of the above semester course fees on the date of registration, followed by the balance on the first day of the next term.

The TVET Colleges Bursary Scheme was established by the Department of Higher Education & Training to provide financial assistance to students who have the potential to succeed in NCV or NATED (Report 191) studies but would be unable to do so without financial assistance. NSFAS is in charge of this program (National Students Financial Aid Scheme).
A National Means Test Tool is used to determine who is eligible for the bursary. Students who do not qualify for the NSFAS bursary must pay the full tuition fees.
