How to Apply Rhodes online 2024-2025

This page provides instructions on how to apply to Rhodes online for the academic year 2024–2025.

When applying, please ensure to upload the following documents (where applicable):

Authenticated copies of your ID or passport.
A certified copy of your O/A Levels, National Senior/Matric Certificate, or any relevant diploma or certificate indicating the completion of studies.
For international applicants, documentation from Universities in South Africa (formerly HESA) demonstrating eligibility for admission to degree programs at South African universities is required. Refer to the undergraduate prospectus for further details.
Certified copies of transcripts, conduct certificate, and degree certificate(s) from any previous attendance at other universities.
International applicants from non-English speaking countries must provide evidence of English language proficiency.
Credentials obtained at foreign universities are evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) if obtained outside South Africa.
If applying for a master’s or Ph.D., submit a research proposal or the proposed title of your dissertation or thesis.
Foreign students intending to enroll in classes in South Africa must possess a valid study visa.
Ensure you have thoroughly reviewed the provided instructions before submitting your online application.
When paying the application fee, please use the APPN reference (followed by your student number).

How to Apply

Postgraduate, honors, and undergraduate programs now have open enrollment periods.
To apply online, go to https://ross.ru.ac.za.
To use the online system, create an account at https://ross.ru.ac.za. using your email address as a login and password creation method
You will then receive an email containing a link to activate your account on the system.
To activate your registration, click the link.
You must choose the Admission/another button to return to ROSS (clicking the right button here is important)
Then, you can log in using the username and password you made in step one.
Click the Accept Terms and Conditions button when you’re finished submitting your application.
After submitting your application, you must pay the R100 application fee. The system provides a variety of options.
If you pay your application fee at the bank using your application number as the reference, kindly email us a copy of the deposit slip.

Once you have completed the aforementioned steps, we will process your application and provide you with a student number and login.
