For those who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing, Cardiff Access to Nursing and Midwifery course is ideal. The goal of this program is to equip students with the knowledge and abilities they need to move on to higher education. Candidates must ensure that they are prepared for the program’s academic demands and workload because this is an intensive course. Students will earn the Access to Higher Education Diploma upon successful completion of the course. This is a credential that is recognized throughout the country and is accepted into higher education programs.
This course focuses on the major subjects of human biology, care studies, and social sciences. As mandatory core subjects, you will also be required to study numeracy, communications, and study skills. Students receive assistance with their studies through weekly personal tutorials.
Please be aware that, in addition to the Access to HE Diploma, some degree pathways necessitate additional qualifications (such as GCSE Maths/English at Grade B). Consider our pre-Access course, Adult Foundation, if you don’t already have the GCSE qualifications that are required for your preferred university course. Typically, applicants under the age of 19 are not eligible for this course because it is intended for people with life experience.
GCSE English Language A*-C is required for entry, and proof must be presented prior to enrollment. The outcome of the assessment and successful interview was Level 1 in Math and Level 2 in English. Before enrolling in a course, students must have been out of post-compulsory education for three years. - To earn a Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) (Adult) and be eligible to apply for professional registration with the NMC to practice as an adult nurse, students must successfully complete 360 credits and pass each practice placement.
