Sassa, on the other hand, has cautioned customers not to apply for new grants that are advertised on social media.

This follows an advertisement for a brand-new Sassa R700 grant in a social media post that purports to be from Sassa.

The message was also written using the same post format as other Sassa social media posts. It’s hard to tell it apart from Sassa’s official social media posts because of this.

It’s important to note that information on all of the grants offered by Sassa can be found on their official website at https://www.sassa.gov.za/.

Sassa said, “Please note that the below advert is FAKE and does not come from SASSA. No additional grant type is offered apart from the ones announced by SASSA”.
