How to Submit SRD Grant Banking Information
If you have already submitted your application, you can update any incorrectly entered banking information on the SRD website and/or change your answers to the screening questions asked in your application.

This can be accomplished by following the steps outlined below:

• The SRD website can be found at srd.sassa.gov.za.
• Scroll down to the section titled “How do I change my banking details?”
• Enter your ID number here.
• The sassa banking details link will be sent to the mobile phone number used when registering for the SRD application via SMS or text message.
• Follow the instructions in the SMS to open the banking details link.

Choosing the money transfer option through a major bank ensures that the funds are correctly transferred and received in full by SASSA. SASSA will not pay you if you do not register your mobile phone number in your name. You may have previously used this information for another person, so please double-check that it is correct before clicking the money transfer button.

How do I update my banking information?

• If you are an SASSA SRD R350 Grant-approved beneficiary and want to change your banking information, please enter your ID number below. An SMS with a secure link unique to you will be sent to the mobile phone number you provided during the application process.
• Click on the link in the SMS and carefully follow the instructions.
• If you choose to pay with a bank account, please ensure that you are the account’s owner. SASSA cannot deposit your grant into the bank account of another person.
• If you choose to transfer money through one of the major banks, please make sure that the mobile phone number from which you received the SMS is registered in your name. SASSA will not pay your grant to a mobile phone number that is registered with someone else.
• Please keep in mind that the new banking information will only be used for future payments after they have been verified.
