Thuto Bophelo Nursing Academy is a private nursing school that opened in 1982. In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the South African Nursing Council, it provides prospective nursing students with opportunities to begin their education in the field of nursing.

In order to provide nursing education, research, and training, the Academy is registered with the South African Nursing Council and accredited by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Courses are only available full-time. Auxiliary nurse registration is available at the South African Nursing Council for successful learners.

THUTO BOPHELO NURSING SCHOOL GENERAL NOTES

For admission to higher certificate or diploma programs and candidates educational certificate, prospective students must meet the statutory minimum requirements based on the National Senior Certificate (NSC) or an equivalent school leaving certificate.

• Levels and symbols obtained during the June/September exams for Grade 12 or confirmation that the current employer is processing study leave will be used to determine provisional admission. However, the final decision regarding enrollment at Thuto Bophelo Nursing School will be based on the applicant’s final 12th grade grades, evidence that they have been granted study leave by their employer, and whether or not they have reached the pensionable age, which is 55 to 60 for all college programs.
