• Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) was formed in 2004 as a result of the merger of three technikons. The university merger attempts to correct historical inequities by providing access to all of our communities and a home for all of our students.
• Higher education institutions provide an intellectual home for all of our people, particularly those on the outskirts of society, both rural and urban, by expanding access to higher education in order to address our triple problems of poverty, inequality, and unemployment.
