ADMISSION POINTS SCORE (“APS”)

In addition to program-specific requirements, each learning program (qualification) offered by the SCHOOL requires a minimum APS from applicants in order to be selected for that program. In the selection process, applicants with the highest APS are given preference.

The APS points for converting non-National Senior Certificate (“NSC”) qualifications to NSC achievement levels are listed in the table below for the various SCHOOL leaving certificates:

An applicant’s APS is calculated by adding up the points for their best six (six) subjects on their SCHOOL LEAGUE certificate. Life orientation is not included in an applicant’s six (six) best subjects because it is excluded from the calculation of an APS.

The following is the Ukwazi Nursing School – Potchefstroom Sub-Campus Admission Requirements Application Procedure for the year 2023:

You need: in order to enter the NVC at NQF Level 2:

An approved bridging program designed specifically for the purpose of accessing NQF Level 2, a year-end report for grades 9, 10, 11, or 12, or a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the fundamental requirements for accessing NQF Level 2.

Full-Time Nated Courses

The application fee and class fees are due at registration—only for new students.

All new applications must include the following:

A certified copy of the most recent school report, statement of results, or certificate for grades 12 or N3.
Six authenticated copies of the learner’s ID.
Two official copies of the parent or guardian’s ID.
One picture of the learner in the size of an ID.

The application cycle, which begins in April of each year, should be started as soon as possible.
