Unisa’s Western Cape Region serves approximately 30 000 students. The majority of these students live on the Cape Peninsula and are served by our Cape Town Campus in Parow.

The region has an active RSRC, and they play an important role in student activities.

The University of South Africa is an Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) education institution based in Pretoria (Muckleneuk) and Roodepoort. All academic services and the majority of student administration services are provided from this location.

Regional services provided by centers such as Cape Town and George in the Western Cape provide a decentralized service to assist students in a variety of ways [more information]. It is, however, critical for students to distinguish between regional services and services offered directly from Pretoria and Roodepoort.
The region employs approximately 85 people on a permanent basis and is led by a Regional Director and a number of Service Units.
