Students will need the following document to apply:

  • South African ID number
  • Student number
  • Contact details
  • Name of the institution registered at
  • Home address

 THE STEPS FOR PLACING AN ORDER ONLINE?

  • Click here to visit the NSFAS website.
  • Select “myNSFAS” on the top right of the screen.
  • Tap on “Click to order your NSFAS Laptop Online”.
  • Fill in your ID number and all the other information required.

How To Collect Your Laptop

Upon successful completion of the verification process, we will proceed to initiate an order for your laptop through our service providers for the device to be dispatched for delivery. When your laptop is prepared and ready for delivery, you will receive a call from the laptop service provider or your educational institution to coordinate the collection or delivery.

It’s essential to keep in mind that when you are contacted regarding the delivery and collection of the device, no one else can receive or collect the laptop on your behalf. You must be personally present and provide your signature before the laptop is handed over to you.

Laptop Payment

Students not covered by NSFAS funding, who need a device, are advised to contact their respective educational institutions. These students are responsible for the cost of the device and are expected to adhere to the payment terms established by the institution.

For NSFAS-funded students, upon receiving the digital learning device, you must present a valid ID, proof of registration (or your student card), and sign an acknowledgment receipt for the digital learning device. Additionally, you will need to agree to the terms and conditions related to the device, as specified by your institution.
