If you are a citizen of South Africa, in Grade 12, or have earned your Senior Certificate and have never studied at UKZN before, you must submit an application to UKZN by filling out a Central Application Office (CAO) application form.

OR

You must also complete the CAO application form if you are (or have ever been) enrolled in undergraduate coursework at another institution.

• Application fees are R470 for late applications and R250 for applications received on time.

Students in grade 12 must include their ID documents, certified copies of their Grade 11 results, and any Grade 12 results that are still available with their application.
Applicants who wish to transfer from other universities must include complete academic transcripts from their previous and/or current universities with their applications, along with certified copies of their National Senior Certificates/Senior certificates.
