POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN DEVELOPMENT FINANCE

The Postgraduate Diploma in Development Finance is an excellent entry point for junior and mid-level managers interested in a career in Development Finance and funding growth initiatives such as roads, telecommunications infrastructure, hospitals, and residences. Although the curriculum is centered on Africa, the skills learned can be utilized in any developing economy.

Format: Modular program (2 on-campus blocks over 1 year)

MPHIL (MDEVF)

Master’s level of understanding of the complexities of the various development finance resources available to poor countries, particularly in Africa. You will also learn how to contribute meaningfully to policy creation and implementation in this subject. This will help you to advance to high positions in the financial industry as well as policy-making and regulatory agencies, allowing you to contribute to Africa’s long-term progress.

Format: Modular program (3 on-campus blocks of 2 weeks each over 2 years). A research assignment must be completed.

PHD

The goal of this Ph.D. is to conduct research that will aid South Africa’s and the African continent’s growth objectives. It is divided into two sections: coursework and research. This is Africa’s first specialized Ph.D. program of its sort.

At least two years in format. Year 1: two 2-week blocks on campus. Supervised research in the second and following years.
