govchat app srd grant 2024-2025
SASSA’s goal is to make the process of submitting an R350 grant application as simple and straightforward as possible. As a result, one method for submitting an SRD grant application is through GovChat; continue reading to learn how.
SASSA began the second batch of R350 grant applications in early August, which will be open until March 2024.
GovChat is one method for submitting an SRD grant application. Here’s how you can do it:
- Go to the GovChat website
- Enter your phone number
- Complete the Captcha
- Click ‘LOGIN’
- Click on ‘SASSA Services’
- Click on ‘SASSA Grants’
- Click on ‘Apply for a grant
- Click on ‘Social relief of distress (R350)’
- Click on ‘Create New Form’
- Fill in the required information
- Click on ‘SUBMIT PERSONAL DETAILS’
- After that, you will be given a reference number.
Because SASSA will be working with other institutions to verify the information provided by applicants, all applicants will be required to sign a declaration and consent form.
To track the status of your R350 grant application, you will need to perform a SASSA grant status check. Learn how to do this by clicking here.
Once your application has been approved, you will be paid. If SASSA approved your R350 grant application, you will no longer need to submit an application every month because SASSA checks to see if you still qualify every month.
If SASSA rejects your SRD grant application and you believe it was unfairly denied, you may file an SRD grant appeal. Click here to learn how.
The appeal must be filed on the internet within 30 days of receiving notification of your rejection status.
