The LLB, or Bachelor of Laws, is required for legal practice in South Africa, one of the most common law countries. By going here, you can enroll in a part-time LLB program in South Africa.

Students who complete the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program graduate with solid legal knowledge of the fundamentals of the South African legal system as well as the ability to effectively use legal resources.

The majority of South African universities offer the popular LLB degree. If you have prior academic qualifications in law, you may be able to reduce the program’s minimum duration of four years to two years.

Where then can you take a part-time LLB course in South Africa?

University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)

  • The only tertiary institution in South Africa that grants a part-time Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree is UKZN.
  • Part-time LLB degree programs are available through the Centre for Extended Legal Studies (CELS) at the Howard College and Pietermaritzburg campuses for those who are unable to attend classes during working hours.
  • Utilizing the university’s online learning portal and tools like Zoom, the program is delivered through online learning. The program lasts for 12 semesters over a period of six years.

The Admission Criteria:

  • If a candidate’s highest academic achievement is an NSC-Degree (i.e., a Matric), we will need:
