My Nsfas Application 2024-2025
My NSFAS Application 2024-2025: The opportunity to secure financial support for your education in South Africa’s various universities and TVET colleges is now available for qualified applicants. To monitor your NSFAS funding progress, you must register or re-register a MyNSFAS account on the official NSFAS website. The NSFAS application period will commence on August 18 and conclude on September 3, 2024. Please follow the instructions below to complete your registration and apply online.
Required Supporting Documents for the NSFAS Online Application:
- Provide your personal cellphone number and email address.
- Ensure you have a copy of your ID or birth certificate.
- Include national ID copies of your parents, guardians, or spouse.
- Submit evidence of your income or your 1-year IRP5 if necessary.
- Provide proof of income for your parents, guardian, or spouse.
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income is required.
- All applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form.
- Applicants recognized as Vulnerable Children by the Department of Social Development should also submit a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
How To Create My NSFAS Account?
Before you can access the application process of NSFAS using your MyNSFAS, you first need to register your own account. To do this, go to www.nsfas.org.za. This is the official website of NSFAS. Once you have opened the website, follow these steps to create your own online account:
- Visit the website, www.nsfas.org.za then click on My NSFAS account.
- Click on Register.
- Tick the box that will allow NSFAS to verify the details you provide.
- Input your ID number as stated on your ID document.
- Input your complete names including your surname as these appear on the ID document you have provided.
- Input your email address.
- Input your email address again to confirm it.
- Input your cellphone number.
- Input your preferred password.
- Input your preferred password again to confirm it.
- Upload a copy of your ID document.
- Click on Register.
- Wait for the OTP on your cellphone and email address. Remember that this OTP will expire after 24 hours so you must use it right away.
- Input the OTP then click on Submit.
After you have followed all of these steps, you should now be all set up. Every time you have to log in, simply input your correct username and password in the appropriate fields.
How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application when opened
- Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
- Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
- Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
- Update your personal information
- Answer the questions you see on the screen
- Upload all the required supporting documents
- Finally, you click on ‘submit
