Nsfas Closing Date For Late Applications 2024-2025
Closing Date for Late NSFAS Applications 2024-2025: The deadline for submitting online applications to the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has lapsed. It is essential for applicants to adhere to the application deadline, which is set for November 30th. The NSFAS application period for this year spans four months, commencing on August 3 and concluding on November 30. Late applications will not be considered.
Eligibility for NSFAS funding:
- South African citizenship
- SASSA grant recipients
- Combined household income not exceeding R350,000 per annum
- Individuals with disabilities, with a combined household income not exceeding R600,000 per annum
- Students who commenced their studies before 2018 with a household income not exceeding R122,000 per annum.
To ensure a successful application, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) requires applicants to submit the following supporting documents:
- Personal cellphone number and email address
- A copy of your ID or birth certificate
- National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
- Proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
- Proof of income of parents, guardians, or spouse
- SASSA grant recipients are exempt from providing income proof
- Applicants with disabilities must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
- Vulnerable Child applicants recognized by the Department of Social Development should provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

- Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
- Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
- Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
- Update your personal information
- Answer the questions you see on the screen
- Upload all the required supporting documents
- Finally, you click on ‘submit
