REQUIRED DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CREATING MY NSFAS ACCOUNT
- Kindly provide your personal cellphone number and email address.
- It is mandatory to possess a copy of your ID or birth certificate.
- Include national ID copies of your parents, guardians, or spouse.
- Submission of evidence of your income or one year’s IRP5 may be necessary.
- Include proof of income for your parents, guardian, or spouse.
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, there is no requirement to provide income documentation.
- All applicants with disabilities should furnish and submit a fully completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form.
- Applicants recognized as Vulnerable Children by the Department of Social Development should also provide a fully completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
How To Create Mynsfas Account
Register online as a user on myNSFAS or re-register a myNSFAS account
- Go to www.nsfas.org.za
- Click on “myNSFAS” tab
- Click on “Register.”
- Check the box to permit NSFAS to verify your details.
- Enter your ID number exactly as it appears on your South African Identity Document (ID).
- Input your full names and surname as they match your ID.
- Provide your current email address.
- Confirm your email address.
- Enter your cellphone number.
- Create a password.
- Confirm the password.
- Upload a copy of your ID.
- Click on “register.”
- An OTP will be dispatched to the email and cellphone number you provided (please note that this OTP expires after 24 hours).
- Enter the OTP and click “submit.”
- Congratulations, you have now successfully completed your re-registration.
How To Check Your MyNSFAS Account Status
To check your status online, you’ll require your MyNSFAS email and password. Now, using your internet-connected smartphone or computer, open your web browser.
- Step 1: Visit the MyNSFAS student portal via-www nsfas.org.za
- Step 2: Next, Enter your Email and Password in the field provided.
- Step 3: Finally, click on the Sign-In button to access your application status
