Online Application Nsfas 2024–2025: If you’re having trouble affording your university or college education in South Africa, don’t worry; all students in need of financial assistance can now apply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. The NSFAS 2024–2025 application period will begin on November 7, 2023, and end on January 21, 2024. It is advised to all applicants to submit their applications prior to the deadline.
The South African government administers the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, which provides financial aid to undergraduate students to help with the expense of their post-high school education.
Who qualifies for the NSFAS Funding?
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
Required Supporting Documents Needed To Apply NSFAS Online.
To complete your NSFAS Bursary Online Application for 2024-2025, you must have the following information:
- You must have a phone number and an email address of your own.
- A copy of your ID or birth certificate is required.
- You should also provide copies of your parents’, guardians’, or spouse’s identification cards.
- 1 year’s worth of IRP5 or proof of income (if applicable,)
- Proof of income from your parents, guardians, or spouse
- SASSA grant beneficiaries are not required to show proof of income.
- All disabled applicants must present a completed and signed Disability Annexure. A Document

How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application
- Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
- Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
- Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
- Update your personal information
- Answer the questions you see on the screen
- Upload all the required supporting documents
- Finally, you click on ‘submit
