This post includes a list of the Sassa payment dates for February 2024–2025.The Overstrand Thusong Service Center in Hawston will accept social grants from 8:00 until 15:00.
13 Feb – Disability Grant
15 Feb – All other Grants
17 Feb – All other Grants

DISABILITY GRANTS are available at other Overstrand halls in February and March from 8:00 to 14:00.

6 February – Disability Grant: Moffat Hall in Mt Pleasant, Overstrand Thusong Centre in Hawston, and Kleinmond Proteadorp Community Hall
27 Feb – Disability Grant: Stanford Community Hall, Gansbaai Blompark Community Hall
13 March – Disability Grant: Mt Pleasant Moffat Hall and Gansbaai Blompark Community Hall
27 March – Disability Grant: Mt Pleasant Moffat Hall, Kleinmond Proteadorp Community Hall

Take note of the following:

Older Persons Grant payments will start on February 3rd.
Disability Grants will be paid beginning Thursday, February 4th.
All other grants will be distributed beginning on Friday, February 5.
The SASSA R350 grant has not been renewed, and there will be no new payments in February.
If you apply for Older Person or Disability Payments and are awarded multiple grants, you will receive both payments on February 3 or February 4.

SASSA on cards being valid beyond 31 March 2021

The South African Social Security Agency claims that despite what has been claimed on social media, the SASSA-SAPO Card will not expire on March 31. (SASSA). These claims are false. The SASSA Cards’ expiration date is March 31.
Although there is no deadline mentioned in the SA Reserve Bank report, the cards will need to be replaced. Eventually, the general public will be able to find out more information about the new card.
SASSA clients who are currently paid through the South African Post Office (SAPO) are not required to change their payment method; however, they may do so if they wish. They will continue to be compensated with the current SASSA-SAPO card after April.
