A Higher Certificate in Accounting Sciences, a Higher Certificate in Banking, a Higher Certificate in Economic and Management Sciences, a Higher Certificate in Tourism Management, and a Higher Certificate in Adult Basic Education and Training are among the five courses that have been given the go-ahead to be taught at these colleges.

A Higher Certificate in Accounting Sciences is intended to educate students to carry out fundamental accounting science duties such as costing, tax calculations, auditing, and internal auditing under supervision. Elangeni TVET College, Gert Sibande College, Port Elizabeth College, and Western College will all offer this certificate’s courses.

The Higher Certificate in Banking introduces students to the banking industry and provides them with a foundational understanding of bank management theory and principles. After graduation, the student will be prepared to work in entry-level positions in the financial services industry. This certification will be available at East Cape Midlands College, False Bay College, Gert Sibande College, Letaba College, NorthLink College, Port Elizabeth College, and Western College.

The Higher Certificate in Economic and Management Sciences program is intended to introduce students to the fundamental ideas and concepts of accounting, business management, and economics. Students’ fundamental English skills, numeracy skills, and computer literacy will all be enhanced. This qualification will be available to students at West Coast College, Umfolozi College, and Elangeni TVET College.

The College of Cape Town, East Cape Midlands College, Ekurhuleni East College, Elangeni TVET College, and Umfolozi College will all offer the Higher Certificate in Tourism Management.

A Diploma in Adult Basic Education and Training can be earned by articulating the Higher Certificate in Adult Basic Education and Training. Both South Cape College and Elangeni TVET College will teach this certificate.
