Because it is a temporary grant, Sassa claims that the Sassa Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) has no set payment date.

Instead, recipients of SRD grants will receive text messages detailing their grant payment dates, and they can also check the official SRD grant website to see when they can collect their funds.

If recipients of the SRD grant do not see their payment dates on the website, Sassa has urged them to be patient because this indicates that the payment has not yet been processed but will soon be.

Social grant recipients will receive payment schedules for Sassa grants from a select group of sources, as well as up-to-date information in the event that anything changes regarding grants.
