The LLB degree is widely available, with the majority of South African universities offering it. The program is at least four years long, however, it can be cut to two years if you have prior academic qualifications in law.

  • Part-time law programs frequently have lower admissions standards than full-time programs. Part-time admissions panels, in particular, are more lenient in terms of LSAT scores and undergraduate GPAs, favoring prospective candidates’ professional and extracurricular achievements.

Criteria for Admission:

  • If the applicant’s highest qualification is an NSC Degree (i.e. Matric), we will require the following: a minimum APS of 32, excluding Life Orientation; English (Home Language) at Level 5, or English (First Additional Language) at Level 6; Maths at Level 3 or Mathematical Literacy at Level 5; Endorsement or University Exemption on the applicant’s Matriculation Certificate
  • If you have one or more recognized tertiary qualifications, your application will be primarily evaluated on the basis of these qualifications, taking into account their nature, level, and other relevant factors.
  • In appropriate cases, relevant work experience may also be considered.
