Brenda Sibeko, the deputy director-general of the Social Development Department, advises that you should only apply once even though the r350 grant has been reinstated under the Social Assistance Act. Every three months, you should check the Sassa website to see if there are any notifications or questions that need to be answered because Sassa will use the data you have provided to determine whether you still qualify for the grant. You are required to confirm your grant application every three months as a result. Only use reconfirmation to inform Sassa that you still need the grant. If your financial situation changes, you must provide an update on your circumstances in your screening test response.
