A srna nurse, also known as a Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist, is a registered nurse who is currently pursuing advanced training in the field of anesthesia. SRNAs are enrolled in a graduate-level program that prepares them to become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), who are highly skilled healthcare professionals responsible for administering anesthesia to patients in a variety of healthcare settings.

During their training, SRNAs work under the supervision of licensed CRNAs and anesthesiologists to learn how to assess patients, develop anesthesia plans, administer anesthesia, monitor patients during surgery, and manage anesthesia-related complications. SRNAs also receive extensive training in pharmacology, physiology, and anesthesia equipment.

Once they complete their training and pass the certification exam, SRNAs become CRNAs and are qualified to provide anesthesia services independently or as part of a healthcare team. CRNAs are in high demand, and they play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and other medical procedures.
