Request for Residency Accommodation
First-year students should indicate whether or not they want to apply for residence accommodation on the official TUT admission application form. These students will be chosen based on their unconditional acceptance for a full-time academic qualification at TUT. If there are too many first-year students who qualify for a residence, the date of unconditional acceptance by the faculty will be used for further selection.

Seniors who are returning must submit an online application for residence space for the following year by the end of October. Students can select or click on the Residence Application after logging into their Student iEnabler accounts. Alternatively, they can go directly to the following address: https://tutprodi4app.tut.ac.za/pls/prodi41/w99pkg.mi login. Returning students who don’t adhere to this procedure won’t be guaranteed a place in housing the following year. These students will be chosen in accordance with the placement policy’s criteria. The following are the primary requirements:

• The student must have earned a minimum academic average of 50% (55% for senior residences) for the entire academic year or must have passed all semester and year courses.
• The student should not stay in any TUT residence for more than the maximum number of years permitted. The maximum number of years is the minimum number of academic years required by TUT to successfully complete a qualification plus one year.
• A minimum of two subjects must be registered for by the student. (Subjects registered for non-degree purposes will not be considered.)
