- About 29 000 students from over 100 different countries attend the University of Cape Town (UCT), which also has about 5 000 academic and professional staff, administrative support staff, and service staff. UCT awards degrees in six faculties: law, engineering, health sciences, humanities, and science, graduating about 7 200 students each year.

Apply Online to UCT
- Prospective students can apply online. In order to apply online you will need a working email address and your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number.
- If you are unable to apply online, you may submit a paper application. Completed undergraduate application forms must be sent to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za with the subject line “UCT Application Form” before the closing date of 31 August. If you are unable to email the form, please post it to the Admissions Office (see details on the right) with sufficient time to reach us before the closing date. All postgraduate applicants must apply online.
