DUT Application form 2024-2025

This article includes the Durban University of Technology (DUT) online and hard copy application forms for 2024/2025 admission, as well as a step-by-step guide on how to apply.

The management of DUT invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who are high school leavers, non-school leavers, and graduates from recognized institutions for admission into the various Postgraduate programs offered by the institution on a full-time and part-time basis for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Documents Required for DUT Applications
To apply to DUT, you must provide the following documentation:

A filled-out application form
a copy of your most recent school year’s results
a photocopy of your ID
We require a copy of your academic transcript if you have previously attended another higher education institution.
Your completed application form must be accompanied by proof of payment of the required application fee.

MINIMUM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR NCV LEVEL 4 APPLICANTS

A Level 4 National Certificate (Vocational) with at least 50% in English is required for the Higher Certificate.
Diploma: a Level 4 National Certificate (Vocational) with the minimum requirements listed below.
a minimum of 50% in each of the three foundational subjects, including English, and a minimum of 60% in each of the three required vocational subjects
Bachelor of Science: A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the minimum requirements listed below:
Three core topics, including English, must have at least 60%; and four subjects from the National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 that must be vocational must have at least 70%.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, each department establishes additional entrance requirements that applicants must meet.
International applicants must review the International Brochure for complete information on the admissions process.

How to Apply for Dut Online

Please complete the online CAO application form and attach certified copies of your identity card and Grade 12 diploma (June/Trial report if you have not yet taken your final exam).
The application must be received by the CAO office by the deadlines of September 30 for Diploma and Degree programs and November 30 for Higher Certificate programs.
Some programs end earlier than November 30, so please check the individual programs for the appropriate end dates.
When filling out your application form, make sure to include the correct application fee of R250 (for South African citizens) or R300 (for non-South African citizens) (for applicants from abroad).
Ensure that your application and payment arrive at the CAO by the deadline.
Completing an application form does not guarantee acceptance as a student or registration.
The results of each candidate’s application will be communicated to them in writing or via SMS. The CAO maintains an application website. Please visit the CAO website at www.cao.ac.za for more information.
