CPUT application deadlines are listed below.

  • Applicants should apply as early in the application cycle as possible. The application period runs from May to September.

Cape Peninsula University of Technology admissions requirements

All applicants beginning a new qualification are required to upload all required documentation, which frequently includes the following:

  • a copy of your academic transcript (eg Senior Certificate)
  • a copy of your transcripts from any post-secondary institutions you have attended if any (online copies will not be allowed).
  • Students studying in the RSA should bring a copy of their passport or identification (international students)
  • a copy of your marriage license or divorce decree, whichever is applicable (if applicable)
  • Certified translations are required for documents written in languages other than English or Afrikaans.

How to Apply for CPUT Online in 2024-2025

CPUT’s admissions procedure consists of seven steps.

  • In step one, select a qualification.
  • The second step is to obtain an application.
  • Step 3: Gather your paperwork or upload any additional or overdue documentation.
  • Step 4: Completing the application.
  • Step 5: Pay the application fee.
  • Step 6: Submit your form and any supporting documentation.
  • Step 7: Check the status of your acceptance and follow up.

Application charges

  • Applicants must pay an R100 application fee before their application form is processed. Each applicant must keep the original proof of payment as well as a copy to submit with their application.
  • NOTE: Applications received in October will incur an R150 late application fee.

CPUT accepts three payment methods:

  • Cash payments can be made in person at the Cashiers’ Office on the applicant’s preferred campus.
