Capricorn College was formed by the merger of three colleges with very different and varied historical backgrounds. The former Pietersburg Technical College (PTC), the former Northern Province Community College, and the Bochum College of Education were among them (NPCC). Capricorn Colleges for FET has emerged as many young people’s first choice for further education because the programs offered directly address the top skill demands of the South African economy. The College also offers theoretical and practical training. Young people can choose from a variety of exit strategies.
Capricorn College’s mission is to provide quality, accessible programs for all learners that are responsive, flexible, and conducive to learning through formal education, skill development, and leadership.
This is accomplished through collaboration with key stakeholders, the use of committed human capital, and the application of appropriate material and financial resources. Capricorn College for FET will use the following Strategic Goals to fulfill this mission:

Applications Required Documents

What you’ll need is as follows:

GET certification, ABET level four certification, N1, and a certified copy of the most recent school report or statement of results are required. An assessment of prior learning (RPL) to meet access requirements
three certified copies of the learner’s identification
three certified copies of a parent’s or legal guardian’s identification
a single photo ID
Applicants must take a placement test before applying to the program of their choice. Students who want to take the placement test in September must make a reservation in advance.

WHERE SHOULD I APPLY?

As your first step, obtain an application form from the Capricorn TVET College campus and submit it there.

Step 2: Complete your application form and return it to the campus. Please include ALL requested supporting documentation and submit your form BY THE CLOSING DATE.

*Remember that you’ll need an email address.

Step 3: Include any additional documentation.

The following documents must be attached to your application form and read:

evidence of residence
The ID of the guardian’s parents, certified
most recent academic results
ID issued to students only

Step 4: Obtain financing.

The Capricorn TVET College Bursary Committee will then receive and review eligible applications. Bursaries will be awarded based on financial need and academic standing.
