Grants and allowances for groups in South African society in need are managed by the South African Social Security Agency. This includes grants for children, seniors, and people with disabilities. The R350 grant for the special relief of distress during the Covid-19 crisis is also managed by SASSA.

Payments for SASSA can be made using a bank account, your SASSA card, the Post Office, or CashSend. You can get help with your basic needs from your SASSA grant.

Due to the SASSA R350 grant, a lot of SRD SASSA applications were flooding srd.sassa.gov.za. The website has many functions. You can check your SASSA SRD status as well as submit your SASSA R350 application there. The SASSA website is where you can update your banking information and other details.
