SASSA payment dates for December 2024 were recently announced. Continue reading to learn when each social award will be available.
The South African Social Security Agency has announced the payment dates for December 2024. This includes grants for people with disabilities, grants for seniors, and any other type of grant.
SASSA has assigned different payment dates to different grant categories in order to comply with social distancing restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
These dates were chosen to avoid crowding at ATMs, banks, the Post Office, or SASSA offices.
According to SASSA’s schedule, the following are the payment dates for social grants in December 2024:
- Grants for the elderly will be paid beginning on December 1, 2024. This includes any grants that are associated with these accounts.
Disability payments will begin on December 2, 2024. This includes any grants that are associated with these accounts.
All other grants will be paid beginning December 3, 2024. These include grants for children, foster care grants, and care dependency grants.
The SRD award has no defined payment date. If you get the grant at a Post Office, however, the award will not be disbursed on the specified dates.
For Post Office payments, the last three digits of your ID number indicate your collection day. The Post Office has yet to announce the SASSA award payment schedule for December. The November SRD grant payment dates can be discovered by clicking here.
Beneficiaries of the R350 grant who receive their SASSA grant payouts through the Post Office, a Boxer store, or a PicknPay store should wait for an SMS indicating that their grant is ready before going out to collect.
