The entry requirements for the academic years 2024-2025 have been released by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). Before applying to the university, applicants must review the following requirements.

  • Each application or admission is governed by rules that applicants must follow throughout the admissions process. The list below contains instructions for applicants.

Instructions for CPUT Applications

  • All applicants for a short course at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology must fill out the entire application form.
  • Certified copies of all supporting documents must be enclosed. Once the application has been completed and all required paperwork has been attached.
  • The application must be submitted to the instructor who will teach the short course you will be taking.
  • Consult the website to find out who to contact as the course administrator. After your application has been reviewed and accepted, the course administrator will assign you a student number.

Candidates can use these application documents to support their submission to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s online system (CPUT). It is required of all applicants.

You must include the following supporting documentation with your application form. Check that the certified copies are no more than three months old. If the documents are false, CPUT has the authority to take legal action.

Please remind applicants to submit the required paperwork to avoid application rejection.

  • a copy of your academic transcript (e.g. Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
  • a copy of your tertiary school transcripts (if applicable) (Internet copies will not be accepted.)
  • Students in the RSA should bring a copy of their ID or passport (international students)
  • If applicable, a copy of your divorce decree or marriage certificate (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations of documents in languages other than English or Afrikaans are required.
